Luanda MP Chris Omulele has dismissed the exit of former ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba from ODM Party as inconsequential, saying that his exit can’t shake the support of ODM in Western region.
Speaking in Luanda Township on Tuesday where he has accompanied ODM Leader Raila Odinga, Omulele accused Ababu of including his name in media statements that that he has not authored.
Omulele, whose name has been featuring in Ababu's circles as among disgruntled ODM MPs from the region also said he has never imagined quitting ODM, neither is he dissatisfied with the ODM Party, saying the party still appeals to western masses.
“ODM ni mama na Baba (ODM is our mother and father). We are together and will continue to work for the benefits of our party,” he said.
Budalangi MP Hon. Ababu fell out with the party and resigned few days ago from the secretary general position citing frustrations from the party that led to his resignation.
ODM Leader Raila Odinga is currently on a political tour Western Kenya for a series of events this week.
