Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka would have his political career shattered should he join the Jubilee Party, a Nyamira MCA has stated.
Kalonzo has been increasingly been unsettled in the opposition Cord and has issued an ultimatum to be named the presidential candidate failure to which he would consider other options.
And now Bokeira MCA Callen Atuya during a charity event in her backyard warned the former Vice President against ditching the opposition saying it would be detrimental to his political career.
“Kalonzo is a senior politician in this country and was at one time the second in command. He inspires many people not only in the country and any political move he makes will always be keenly followed,” she said.
“Moving to Jubilee would be suicidal for him because the house is already full and he can’t serve anything less than the DP or President. Those positions are already filled up in Jubilee meaning his only realistic chances remain in the opposition. If he attempts to move, he will be committing political suicide,” she said.
Kalonzo has ruled out any possibility of being subjected to the delegates system of nominating the Cord flag bearer, insisting that he deserves to be backed by his co-principals Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula on grounds that he had made a lot of sacrifices.
