Nasa presidential candidate running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has been told to forget his 2022 presidential dreams.
According to Deputy President William Ruto, Kalonzo has his goose cooked, and should stop dreaming of ascending to power in 2022.
Speaking on Saturday in Kiuti town, Ruto said Musyoka’s bid was almost impossible since he was backing the wrong man that cannot defeat the Jubilee Party.
“This brother of mine Kalonzo Musyoka cannot be president because his choice in the August polls would not defeat us (Jubilee),” he said.
He added: And you know if Raila Odinga will not be president in August, then Kalonzo will never assume the presidency in 2022,”
Ruto further maintained that he was ready to face Musyoka or any other candidate that would be in the ballot in 2022.
The DP told the Kamba people not to be lured into supporting the wrong group in August, saying the Jubilee Party has interests of Kenyans.
He also defended the government’s track record, pointing out the projects that had been initiated in the region to benefit the locals.
Some of the projects he mentioned included road constructions and commissioning of water projects like the Thwake Dam.
