Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen in a past event.He has advised NASA leader Raila Odinga to shelve his presidential ambition(Photo/Weru Tv)NASA leader Raila Odinga has been urged to shelve his presidential ambition.Speaking on NTV Sunday,Elgeyo Marakwet Senator advised the former Prime Minister to instead retire from active politics after several unsuccessful shots.Murkomen said that Raila,being a national leader enjoying massive support from a remarkable section of the nation,will retain his position in the hearts of his supporters whether or not he is the head of state."Raila Odinga should know that it is not a must for him to become the President.He is and will always be a great leader even without being the head of state," said the senate leader of majority.He also rubbished claims from the opposition side that Deputy President William Ruto is using his name for political mileage hence his regular attacks on the Orange party boss, as he,(Ruto) prepares to vie for the top post in the 2022 general elections.Murkomen said that Ruto has overtaken Odinga politically and would beat him at any given time and therefore does not need him for mileage."Ruto's main prayer currently is that Raila accepts that he has once again been defeated and goes home or better yet postpone his ambition to 2022 where he is guaranteed another terrible defeat from the DP," he said.
