Addressing the press at his office on Thursday, the commander said that police have put in place enough mechanisms to ensure security is tight in all areas.

He said that police are monitoring every activity in the area, and will not hesitate to take action against criminals.

“Naivasha residents should not fear, we have put in place adequate measures to guarantee security,” he said.

The commander appealed to residents to work closely with the police so as to curb crime, further urging owners of restaurants, guest houses, entertainment joints and all other institutions including schools and churches to put in place enough security measures.

The commander said that police will mount patrols with the aim of dealing with law breakers, and cautioned youths against taking part in criminal activities, saying they too will not be spared.

He observed that cases of the youth taking part in crime have been reported in some parts of the sub-county, and advised them to take part in activities that can add value to their lives.
