Nyamira County Assembly leadership has termed Governor John Nyagarama’s speeches are boring and redundant, raising questions about the Governor’s communication department.

On Thursday, County Speaker Joash Nyamoko termed Nyagarama’s last address to the assembly as ‘underwhelming and repetitive’ adding that the speech was a duplication of previous addresses.

“We expected that he comes here to address emerging issues but disappoints by giving an underwhelming and repetitive content. This is quite discouraging,” Nyamoko said.

Deputy Speaker Andrew Magangi termed the speech as ‘duplicate’ and challenged county leadership to improve on matters communication.

“It is the last address and members are waiting for concrete issues to be addressed. All we are seeing is a duplicate of what we have been hearing in the past four years about roads,” he said adding that the communication team needs to be vetted.

It is not the first time Mr. Nyagarama’s speech is questioned given that last year, during Jamhuri celebrations at Ekerenyo, members of the public dismissed his speech as ‘rhetoric’.

Nyagarama however, urged the assembly to pass 2017/18 budget to allow completion of crucial projects before elections.
