Kisii County commissioner Mrs Kula Hache has issued a stern warning to political leaders inciting violence in different parts of the county saying they risk arrest and prosecution despite their political influence.

The county boss said the political incitement which is being witnessed in various parts of Kisii county may rise crime cases and fighting between their supporters.

Speaking in Kisii Central sub-county headquarters while meeting Constituency and County security team, Hache said they will take action on any politician found inciting the youth. 

“Yesterday there were some politicians who led Borabu, Sotik and Keroka residents into demonstrations for the release of some politicians and we condemn the acts,” she added.

She added that they had learned that some politicians thrive when there are chaos and are doing everything possible to destabilise peace for their own selfish benefits.

“I am sending this message to all elected leaders in our county. It does not matter your social status, we will come for you,” she warned.
