Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has laughed off former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile’s bid to contest for the Mavoko Parliamentary seat in the August 8 general election.

Makau claims that Ndile’s bid for Mavoko seat is a waste of time and cannot scare him.

Speaking in Athi-River on Sunday, Makau further claimed that Ndile is a political reject and doesn’t have the political skills and bargaining power to represent Mavoko people as their lawmaker.

The Mavoko MP claimed that Kibwezi people rejected Ndile in 2013 because of his alleged poor political and leadership skills.

“Kalembe Ndile should know that Mavoko is not for people like him because he has nothing to offer them in terms of politics and leadership,” he said as quoted by the Star.

Makau went on to allege that Ndile did injustice to Kibwezi people by allegedly nominating his wife and daughter as members of the Water Services Regulatory Board.

The MP asked Kalembe to prepare for a tough contest saying that he will show him dust come August 8 general election.

Makau said that Mavoko people have confidence in his leadership and will re-elect him back on August 8.

Kalembe has declared interest in the Mavoko parliamentary seat on Jubilee Party ticket.

Ndile has vowed to send the incumbent Makau home in August.

The former Kibwezi MP claims that Mavoko people are tired of Makau’s leadership saying that he will push for the local’s interests if elected.

Ndile dissolved his TIP TIP Party last year and joined President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party.

There have been claims that Ndile and others who dissolved their parties to join JP are frustrated and disgruntled in the President Uhuru  Kenyatta's party.

Ndile, however, says that he is happy in Jubilee and can never work with the opposition.
