Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero and his deputy Jonathan Mueke have dismissed the candidature of Senator and Jubilee governor aspirant Mike Sonko.

They said Sonko has nothing to offer city residents, urging them not to elect him in the forthcoming general election.

They said the Senator should prepare to go home as he will lose terribly in the polls, terming him “incompetent, clueless and reckless”.

“Yule jamaa wabling bling, mwenye hata hajui kuongea kizungu, anaeza shindana na Kidero kweli? (The man with chains who can’t even speak English, can he really compete with Kidero?)” posed Mueke.

They also promised to ensure the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga wins the capital city’s vote in the forthcoming polls.

They said NASA is the best solution to Kenyans as it will address the high cost of living, corruption among other challenges facing them.

“Nairobi is NASA and we will deliver 1.5 million votes to Raila because he is the only leader who will bring down the price of unga,” Mueke said as quoted by the Star.

Kidero and Mueke were accompanied by ODM senator aspirant Edwin Sifuna and several aspirants as they took their campaigns to Nairobi West, Wilson Airport garage, South Lands, Otiende, Lindi, Makina and Fort Jesus.

They finally addressed a rally in Kibera’s Laini Saba.

Apart from Sonko, independents Peter Kenneth and Miguna Miguna and others are seeking to unseat Kidero in the August 8 polls.
