Speaking in Kilifi on Sunday during a rally, the leaders, led by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula said the president has panicked, and was plotting on how to rig elections.

Senator James Orengo also added his voice to the debate, saying no one is above the law, in reference to the president’s comments on IEBC and the Judiciary favoring NASA.

“You are not above the law to attack and intimidate independent institutions just because they are not favoring you in your work,” said Wetang’ula.

Wetang’ula further said the president did not win the 2013 elections, but there was no chance that will happen again.

“However, NASA has learnt from its past mistakes, and will not allow vote manipulation,”

“We have sealed all loopholes by sending Orengo to court to fight for us,” he added.

Orengo further claimed that the ruling coalition had run out of ideas, resorting to intimidating independent bodies.

“If you want to know a leader has panicked, listen to what Uhuru said this morning by trying to intimidate the courts,” he said.

The NASA leaders toured Ganze, Gongoni and Watamu before meeting the rest of the NASA leaders in Malindi.
