The chaos witnessed on Thursday at Kinango when Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho’s planned ODM rally was disrupted is the latest flash point to reignite the war of words between the Governor and Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa.Speaking after the incident, Marwa who has had a frosty relationship with Joho accused the ODM deputy party leader of moving round the Coast region and causing unnecessary tension.“If you are the Sultan of Mombasa, why should you keep on moving from one county to another causing tension? Do you want to be the Sultan of the whole of Coast region,” Marwa posed.Marwa warned Joho against interfering in the affairs of Coast counties, telling him to focus on Mombasa.Drama started when the police raided the venue of the meeting chasing away supporters who were waiting for Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi to arrive, claiming that the rally had not been approved. This comes after Joho’s Mpeketoni rally ended in disarray after youth pelted the ODM leaders with stones and unripe mangoes.
