Mwingi West MP hopeful Mwende Mwinzi has launched a scathing attack on Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, claiming that he (Kalonzo) is to blame for the problems facing Ukambani region.
Addressing supporters during campaign rallies in Mwingi Town on Wednesday, Mwinzi said that Ukambani did not benefit from Kalonzo’s tenure when he served in the government.
She claimed that Kalonzo ignored the region when he served as Vice President (VP) and that he has no moral authority to ask them (locals) to vote for NASA in the August 8 polls.
“Kalonzo is the major cause of all the problems Kamba people are facing today and he should give us break,” she said as quoted by The Standard.
Mwinzi said that Ukambani will remain poor if Kalonzo and NASA wins next week’s general election.
“I respect Kalonzo in terms of his personality and age but he should stop forcing us (Kambas) to vote for NASA,” she added.
Mwinzi asked residents to remain firm and endorse Jubilee’s second term in next week’s general election.
The Mwingi West Jubilee MP hopeful is eyeing to unseat incumbent lawmaker Bernard Katungi of Wiper party who she accuses of abandoning residents and failing champion their interests.
