Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri says most politicians who have defected from ODM to Jubilee have done so because the party leader Raila Odinga is a “difficult man to work with”.
Kiunjuri asked voters not to vote for him as Kenya’s fifth president in the forthcoming polls saying he was incapable of heading the country.
He further described the former premier as a destructive and backward leader who was irrelevant in Kenyan politics.
“Even his colleagues in the National Super Alliance (Nasa) have asserted that Mr. Odinga cannot beat president Uhuru Kenyatta in the August polls, how do you expect him to win if his closest colleagues have disqualified his chances of winning elections?” Kiunjuri asked.
The CS who was speaking at Kwa Mnengwa, Mwatate sub-county in Taita Taveta, Saturday, said the opposition leader had no agenda for Kenyans adding that he was too old to lead the country.
“He is over 70 years and hence he should retire from politics,” said Kiunjuri.
