Mombasa ODM youth leader Ali Kubo has said the move by NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga to ask for financial aid to fund his campaigns is a sign of true leadership.Speaking in Mombasa on Friday, Kubo who was accompanied by youth activist Mohammed Hussein Mohammed said Kenyans of good will who want a leadership change in the country should fund Raila’s campaigns.“Our colleagues in Jubilee are mocking us because they looted all the government funds and are simply using State resources to campaign while we are asking our over 6 million supporters to help us,” said Kubo.He said the Supreme Court ruling that nullified President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election asserted that Raila got the majority vote in the August 8 polls. The youth leader said he is confident Raila will trounce Uhuru in the repeat presidential election, and urged residents to turn up in large numbers to vote on October 17.He urged his fellow youth to contribute towards the NASA campaign not only financially but also by rallying residents in the county behind Raila to ensure he clinches the presidency. On his part, Mohammed urged the IEBC to conduct free and fair elections that reflect the will of the people. He said the electoral body must seal all the loopholes that were exposed during the August 8 polls before conducting the repeat presidential elections.“The in-fighting between the commissioners and Wafula Chebukati and Ezra Chiloba is a clear indication that something is not right within the commission,” said Mohammed.
