According to National Democratic Institute senior programmes manager Dennis Onkendi the area Mp Richard Tong’i approached them and they found it worthy to offer the youths the training to ensure that they are well equipped with knowledge on how to handle their loans once they are given by the county government.

Onkendi added that the two-day training that kicked off early yesterday will see the youths meet various successful groups leaders and financial talks from heads of various financial institutions.

“There are many youths in this constituency and most all of them are in various groups and this means if we collectively offer them some training they will be able to manage their finances well,” he added.

This comes barely hours after Nyaribari Chache constituency youth officer Wilfred Nyasani raised an alarm over the increasing cases of youth groups in the area defaulting from repaying the loans offered to them by the Uwezo Fund kitty.

The training is held at St Alexander Nyamecheo Secondary school in Ibeno ward.
