Hajji also called for strict disciplinary actions against the leaders, whom he accused of being hired to heckle the president.

“We have live footage of the event and can pinpoint the leaders who were interrupting the speech while at the same time blowing whistles to interrupt the president. The displeasure on Kenyans is clearly evident and it very easy to understand who they were working for, “ Hajji said.

Hajji condemned the actions, terming them as foolish and childish.

“If they did not want to hear the president’s speech they should have just walked out, and not interfere with the ones who wanted to listen to it,” he added.

Nakuru Youth advisor to the governor Kimani wa Kimani also codemned the incident.

“They are our role models and they should clearly portray a decent picture to Kenyans. We call for a different level of maturity than what was exhibited there,” he said.

Veteran politician George Mkombozi challenged the opposition to use the seven day period meant for raising issues they disagreed with in the president speech.

“There is a window period where they can write to the president, or even write an opinion in papers. There are decent ways of addressing the issues instead of the dramatic gimmicks,” he said.

They were speaking to the press in on Friday.
