This comes few days after Cord Principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula led hundreds of supporters to the commission’s headquarters before they were dispersed by armed police officers.

Speaking to the reporter on Tuesday, Chairperson Dennis Marube warned the police against interrupting the demonstrations, saying it was fully protected in the constitution.

“As ODM youth league Nyamira branch, we will be leading peaceful demonstrations in Nyamira IEBC offices on Wednesday and all plans are in place,” Marube said.

“We are unhappy with the way the commission is handling the opposition. They have openly shown that they support the government by for instance shooting down Okoa Kenya bill. We are guided by article 37 of the constitution and we warn police from interfering with it,” he added.

Marube said the youth league team will later on address a public rally at Nyamira town where they are expected to formally show their displeasure to the electoral body.

“We will hold a public rally at the town center and among the issues is to call for disbandment of the IEBC because it has openly shown its biasness contrary to the constitution. We will also call for prosecution of Chairman Isaac Hassan because he was mentioned in the Chicken Gate scandal where millions of shillings were lost,” he added.
