Youth from Machakos County have been told to stop seeking refuge and favors from churches and instead work hard to improve livelihoods and lead descent lives.
Addressing the press in Mlolongo town yesterday, George Museti, a youth leader said many youth in the county were lured with mushrooming churches in the county.
Museti said the youth joined the churches after being promised goodies and jobs which he argued in most cases never came to be leaving them disperate in life.
He said the youth who listen and get to traps of such churches with funny beliefs and cult end up being frustrated after being used and damped by the churches.
According to Museti, most churches were on business of having and recruiting members who they brain washed and misused for several reasons known to the churches' leaders.
He mentioned two new churches that he said had attracted mass followings since they gave attractive promises and ferried the youth to the churches on every Sunday to attend their services.
Museti said the youth should refrain from getting into such traps and join the rest who work hard and smart to earn livelihoods and make their futures brighter.
