Led by youthful University of Kigali lecturer Seth Omao, they were unanimous that Bosire delegates his capacity as county chairperson of the party to young people who can revamp the country’s single largest party.

“This is not politics but we request Hon Bosire to resign as chairperson since he was elected recently as the National Treasurer. It will be cumbersome for him to re-energize our party whose support in Gusii region is diminishing,” he said.

He added that ODM should believe in young leadership and they are ready to give politics a new dimension.

“Time has come for us to take over. We are ready to sell the party’s ideologies and manifesto ahead of 2017 general election,” he added.

They accused Bosire of sabotaging the party’s growth at the region by failing to mobilize the locals, something that has made the party to lose substantial support in the region.

“Our leader rarely calls for consultative meetings among party loyals despite our constant agitation for the same. We hope he will listen to our call this time,” he said.

They lauded ODM leadership led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for believing in young minds during the recent party nominations of national leaders, a group that will be led by youthful Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwamba as Secretary General.
