Youth in Uasin Gishu County have urged Governor Jackson Mandago to form a youth inclusive government.

Uasin Gishu Youth Bunge president Elijah Lagat said, youth have been neglected for long hence need to be considered in his new government.

"We are tired of just sitting on the fence. We want to see our colleagues appointed as CECs and CO's since we have what it takes to run this county. More funds should be channeled to youth programmes," he said in Eldoret town,Thursday.

"We are calling upon governor Mandago to convene organized groups and encourage them to nominate representatives to the forum while establishing County Budget and Economic forum (CBEF 2017-2022," added Lagat.

He, however, called upon youths to join Sacco's for them to be empowered financially thus improve their livelihoods.

"By joining Sacco's it will be easier for youths to get Uwezo and County enterprise fund which is only given to groups," he noted.

He urged all stakeholders in public participation to familiarize themselves to the Public Finance Management Act 2012, especially relating to Public participation, including section 137 of the Act.
