An estimated Sh 16.3 million Uwezo Fund is lying uncollected at Mavoko Constituency Development Fund's office in Machakos County.   This was disclosed by the Constituency Manager, Jeremiah Kaloi, who said the application's for the fund among Mavoko constituents were very low.   Kaloi said the office was worried since the money had lied in the office for a while as they received handful of applications from women and youth.   He said they were set to disburse Sh 1.3 million next week to a few beneficiaries who had submitted there applications earlier.   The officer who made the remarks during donation of tanks to youths and women at Mavoko on Thursday, called on more women and youth  from the constituency to form groups and submit their applications from the fund.   The manager who was in company of Patricia Musyimi, the constituency coordinator among others, presented four water tanks to four youth and women groups to support their car wash projects.   Musimi said the constituency office donated the projects to support the youth and women who had problems of water storage in the semi arid region.   She said the Mavoko constituency office was committed to ensuring that youth and women from the region were socio- economically empowered and their living standards improved.
