Speaking during the inspection of youth and women projects in the area, Maendeleo ya Wanawake leader Victoria Mulalia challenged the youth and women in the area to use the Uwezo fund to better their future.

Mulalia suggested that chicken rearing and table banking are great projects that the women and youth can undertake to make their lives sustainable.

Those who benefitted with the fund are expected to start paying it back after six months from the time they were received the money.

On security, Victoria urged the residents to know their neighbours and embrace the Nyumba Kumi initiative to help boost security in the area.

“We know that there is insecurity, we therefore urge residents to make sure that they know their neighbours,” she said.
