Political pundits argue that the number of young people seeking seats in the 2022  polls will be high.

The vocal senator was elected in 2013 after the death of his late father Mutula Kilonzo.

The Makueni senator has been vocal on national and county issues facing Kenyans.

There are claims that he could contest for the Makueni gubernatorial seat in 2022 since the current Governor Kivutha Kibwana is serving his last term.

2. Linnet Mbula

She is the Makueni nominated MCA, nominated in 2017 on a Wiper ticket.

The vocal MCA has created a name for herself owing to her aggressiveness on national matters.

She has huge following in Makueni and Kitui counties.

3. Daniel Maanzo

He is the Makueni MP serving his second term on Wiper ticket.

The trained lawyer has been part of NASA’s legal team.

Maanzo’s grasp of law has seen him earn the trust of Makueni and Ukambani people.

There are claims that he could bid for the Makueni gubernatorial seat in 2022.

4. Charles Nguna

He is the Mwingi Central MP elected in last year’s polls on Wiper party ticket.

Nguna’s influence is steadily rising across Kitui and Ukambani region.
