Kibra MP Ken Okoth has urged youths to be bold and courageous when looking for employment.
Okoth spoke during the first workshop for mentoring young graduates at Shadrack Kimalel Secondary School on Tuesday.
The workshop was attended by 120 young graduates and are residents of Kibera.
"Looking for employment is always a challenge. For most of us, we think that we will complete our tertiary education and get jobs. It is every students dream but how do you behave when you are called for a job or are still searching for one?’ he asked.
The MP told the diploma and degree holders not to use Kibera as a limiting factor.
"Some of you when you hear that your competitors are from more developed areas you start shaking and view yourselves as failures. This limits you. Always remember that coming from Kibera is not a mistake. Be bold, never show that you are afraid of your competitors and be courageous when answering questions," added Okoth.
He urged the youths to be positive of where they come from and never limit themselves to anything since they are equally educated and knowledgeable as their competitors.
