Hospital Ward Youths have been asked to use their votes wisely in 2017 to elect leaders who can be able to relate and address their problems effectively.
Zack Mwangi, a youth leader in the ward, while addressing Majengo Estate youths on Tuesday noted that youths have always been shortchanged for making the wrong decisions during elections.
"This time round I am requesting all youths to put their interests first. Politicians must earn your votes this time round and those that get them must truly deserve," said Mwangi.
Mwangi said that he will be running a civic education in the ward throughout the year aimed at encouraging youths to make the right choices come election time in 2017.
"You note that many voters in this ward and elsewhere are youths yet they are the most disadvantaged when it comes to almost all socio-economic issues. This has to change and it can only happen through electing good leaders," he added.
He also asked them to be careful when electing 'one of their own' saying that many youthful leaders elected in 2013 have turned out to be a disappointment.
