A section of Gatundu North youthshave called on the leader of opposition to retire from politics and pave way for fresh minds in the opposition.
The youths said Raila had served enough as the opposition leader, and time had come for him to quit and leave the floor to Moses Wetangula and other young politicians in CORD coalition.
They argued that Raila was the cause of national instabilities, adding that his incitements to ‘blind’ followers had not only triggered deaths but business losses.
According to a youth group leader in Kamwangi town James Kariuki, Raila could retire and start serving as a political advisor.
"Raila has enough experience now to advise governments on how to play politics but not to be in the opposition. He should leave the floor to Moses Wetangula and other fresh minds in his coalition. This way, political heats in the country will recede thereby luring more investments that would create jobs for his blind followers," said Kariuki.
The youths who were voicing their concerns in Kamwangi grounds during a volleyball match on Sunday regretted that the opposition had failed to provide alternative solutions to the problems that faced the state.
They further blamed the church for delaying to bring both rivalry parties to a consensus, citing that if CORD continued with their ‘solution less’ riots, more deaths will be witnessed as police try to manage rowdy demonstrators.
