Kisii residents have been advised to elect youths in the next general election as one way of giving them an opportunity of transforming the nation.
According to Boniface Onchagwa who is eyeing for the ward representative seat in Kisii Central, he has challenged area residents that come 2017 they should elect youthful leaders.
The youthful aspirant urged the residents to copy the example from Kericho by election as the residents decided to elect a youth whom they hope will transform Kericho and lead as an example to other counties.
“I would like to urge our residents to remember that this is the time we need to transform our country and by doing this we would have visionary leaders from the grassroots up to the national level," said Onchagwa.
“This is the time that the youths should be given an opportunity in leadership so that they can develop this county and the country at large," said Onchagwa.
"people have been saying that youths are the future leaders and the future has never come but this is the right time for youths to transform this county,” added Onchagwa.
In addition, he said that youths have been seen as projects and are the one who cause chaos but he dismissed the claim and urged fellow youths not to be used by politicians.
