The youths who spoke in Rongai after police prevented them from holding a peaceful demonstration said that they will use all means possible to ensure that the MCA, Gitau Kamau, accounts for Sh18 million allocated for development in Visoi Ward by the county government of Nakuru.

“We are angry at the disbursment of bursary funds which is currently being done in a discriminatory manner locking out deserving children. We want the MCA to ensure that he holds frequent Barazas in this area to explain development agendas to the electorate,'' said John Mwangi, a resident of Rongai.

Mwangi said that Gitau has deserted the area since he was elected thus losing touch with the people.

Gitau has however dismissed the push to have him account for development funds saying that it was a political game by his opponents to blow their trumpets.
