ODM party youths in Nyamira County have disowned the nomination of Irene Mayaka to Nyamira County assembly.
The youths led by Dennis Marube on Thursday protested the party’s decision to kick out Damaris Mouni who was nominated validly using procedural ways.
Marube said they only recognize Mrs Damaris Mouni as the ODM nominated MCA to Nyamira County assembly and not Ms Mayaka.
“ODM party should stop using the backdoor and the courts to frustrate Mouni. We will not accept the nomination of Mayaka because she is only interested to sell her beauty at the assembly,” he said.
He called on Political Tribunal Dispute team to intervene to ensure Mouni gets justice.
Marube said they will mobilize ODM supporters across the county to ensure Mrs Mayaka is not allowed to enter the Nyamira County assembly.
“Mayaka won’t have peace to serve as the nominated MCA from our end we have resolved to mobilize ODM party supporters to push her eviction from the assembly to have Mrs Mouni serve in her position,” he added.
