As national examinations approach, candidates in Kisii, Nyamira, Homa bay, Kisumu, Embu , Baringo, Kwale, Kitui and Mombasa counties have got a reason to smile.
This is after a group of youths offered to donate and distribute some of the items the students need for the important examination.
The volunteer youths are working under an umbrella body called Progressive Youth for Africa (PYA-Kenya) which is a non-profit organisation that seeks to eradicate poverty, girl child discrimination and empower the communities through education and mass awareness.
Speaking to the press on Monday 31st October morning, the PYA-K President Mr Anthony Kibagendi thanked his entire team and promised to do everything possible to ensure their agenda is realised.
"We are committed to serve our people without expecting any favour.Today we launch this important exercise as our best wishes to the candidates.We thank all those who have partnered with us," said Anthony.
Among those who will participate include Nicetah Nyagah- Embu, Doreen Jemtai- Baringo, David Milgo- Bomet, Janet Machuka and Esnas- Kisii, Rehema Masoud- Homa Bay, Mariga Shaban-Kwale, Christine Munira- Mombasa and Sam Kaonge- Kitui.
The diaspora support team includes Hon Michael Mugo, Gladys Griffins, Lynett Okemwa and Pam Mogaka.
