A road contractor has given youths in Kuresoi a 50km road stretch from Maziwa-Kamkembu in Tinet location.
The road has been in a deplorable state and heavy rain has made the road impassable especially after big trucks destroyed it.
More than 100 youths in the area have signed up to work with the contractor. Road works started from Maziwa towards Kamkembu in Mau.
Talking to this writer, youth leader Job Kipkemboi said that the area leaders have complained to county leaders to give jobs to youths in the area for the construction of roads and bridges and they have been successful.
He added that the road will take about two weeks to finish and urged local authorities to create more jobs for them.
Area chief David Busienei said that he will support the youth until they finish the work and get paid for it.
