At least 45 youths in Kiamana area, Nakuru County have graduated in driving course in Nakuru on Tuesday evening.

The graduation ceremony presided over by the area county governor, Kinuthia Mbugua, saw them receive driving licenses and certificates from the county government.

Mbugua congratulated the graduates adding that the county has set a side Sh210 million as bursaries to the youth pursuing technical courses in the county.

“We are appealing to the youths to apply for the funds through their Members of County Assembly. Technical training will help us to deal with unemployment issues in our county,” notes Mbugua.

Mbugua pledged to create a kitty to foresee that youths in the county could go for life skills courses.

“we have put aside enough cash to ensure that the youths get skills like driving and motorbike riding,” he noted.

He also appealed to the youths to observe discipline and hard work in the counties, asking them to shun drinking while driving.

Mbugua also called on youths to engage the county government more on issues that are affecting them.

“We would like them to ask questions pertaining the youths especially on social media. They should always ensure that the county government is accountable to all the residents,” notes Kinuthia.
