Kitutu Masaba residents and youths have challenged area Member of Parliament to help in  initiating National Youth Services projects in the area.

According to the residents, they also want to benefit from the project as other constituencies are enjoying the services which has transformed lives of many youths.

Peter Minyira, Enchoro Polytechnic Chairman said that the project will help youths with finances, as well as helping them stay away from vices such as drugs and bad groups.

“we would like to urge our area MP to make sure that the program is launched in our area so that our youths can as well as get the jobs” said Minyira

In addition, he said that youths from other constituencies where the programme was launched early have benefited through the daily savings, and have even formed development groups.

Lydia Nyasimi, a youth from Gesima ward also said that they wish to have the programme in order to benefit just like others in other constituencies.

“We have been sharing some ideas with other youths who are already in the system, they  told us the importance of the programme and on how they have benefited from it, so we also urge the Area MP to make sure that the programme is  launched in our area for our benefit,” said Nyasimi.

The NYS program was re-launched last month in Kisii during the visit of the head of State in Gusii land.
