Youths in Nakuru county have been urged to be symbols of peace ahead of 2017 general elections.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with this writer on Friday, Nakuru County Youth and vocational training Director Josephat Kimemia said youths need to be careful ahead of the 2017 poll.

He spoke after officiating a graduation ceremony for more than 500 youths from CAP Youth Empowerment Institution.

"My appeal to the youths of Nakuru and Nation at large is that as we head to general elections 2017 let us be symbols of peace in our villages,estates and constituencies,"he said.

The youths director added that youths should maintain good morals and use their potential for betterment of their lives.

"As youths, they need good will, capacity and go for that which God has instilled in them," he added.

He also appealed to parents to ensure they nurture their children accordingly.
