Sarang’ombe Ward treasurer Elizabeth Aluoch has urged youths to apply for national identification cards in a bid to register as voters.
She said the youth should make use of the huduma Centre which was recently opened in Kibra Constituency to apply for the crucial document.
“Youth aged 18 years and above should apply for the identity cards. We are lucky huduma Centre here at DC area which will help them get the ID’s faster and cheaply,” she added.
Speaking to this writer on Monday, Aluoch said most youths should be taught the importance of having the document since some of them have not been to school.
“Having an ID card can help in the identification process in case an individual and trace his/her family in case of an emergency,” the treasurer said.
Aluoch further said the ID card is an essential document that can help youths when starting and transacting businesses.
