Led by Dominic Onsomu, they targeted business people from the region and flamboyant farmers towards raising over Sh 250, 000 that will be used to pay school fees to four students.

The four were among the best students in last year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education KCPE in the region.

“We have four cases of students whose parents are not in a position to raise fee to educate them in the National schools,” said Onsomu adding that the students have been admitted in national schools.

They lauded area residents especially the business community for responding positively by donating over Sh 100, 000.

“We would like to thank all those who responded in our day one call. In fact business people have shown great generosity by helping us to raise over three quarters of our target,” added Onsomu.

He said the group has already identified the beneficiaries and will deposit the money to the institutions where the students were admitted.

“We are not even intending to put the money in our account. We have been in touch with the specific students and the institutions they were admitted and am happy to say we will divide the money equally to two students in Alliance High and two others in Mang’u High School,” notes Onsomu.
