The Ministry of Education, Youth and Gender in Nakuru County has called on Youths to exploit their talents fully to earn a living.
Speaking in Nakuru on Thursday, the County Executive in the Ministry Joseph Tonui said that youths should not wait for white-collar jobs, which are rare and scarce, but rather use their talents such as sports Music, and athletics which have in a long time been a source of riches for known people in the country.
“The county government through the relevant ministry has put measures to support such youths to make them develop and shine, I also urge the youths to form and register their companies so as to compete for 30% tender awards for youths, women and venerable groups,” Tonui
He insisted that no individuals can be awarded the tenders, thus the importance of companies.
Tonui added that a bigger percentage of youths have shown interest in borrowing money given to them by the government, but called on more youths especially in the rural areas to borrow such funds and also pay them as required and in good time.
