Youths in Uasin Gishu have been urged to stop engaging in criminal activities and participate in talent nurturing activities.
Speaking during the launch of an album known as "Tugul" at International Vision Centre in Eldoret, Bishop Joseph Likavo said that youths should focus on developing their talents other than engage in unlawful activities.
"Youths should involve themselves in developing their talent through sports music and others, they should make use of the God-given talent," he said.
Likavo said if youth exploited their talents, many would be self-employed hence reducing the rate of jobless youths in the country.
"You should not sit on your God-given gifts, those who are out there should come to church. We will mentor you make you a youth of purpose," said Likavo.
He said that parents should be in the forefront to help their kids nurture their talents.
"Parents should monitor and discipline their children wrong behaviour and encourage them where they are doing right," said Likavo.
He added, "Recent incidents of underage children being arrested in clubs is as a result of idleness."
