Kisumu county women MCAs have challenged locals to use their skills to venture into incoming genrating ventures. Nominated MCA Farida Salim speaking on Tuesday at Joventure Hotel at a conference organized to upgrade locals’ way of behavior through skill awareness creation called upon locals to use their skills wisely to gain income by venturing in various activities of their skill.
Farida noted that job opportunity are very scarce and locals needed not to engage much of their time in seeking for jobs and should instead use their skills wisely by venturing into various activities that would give them money.
According to her jobs that a person did out of skills were very okay in the employment field of today as it was ones handy work of a person. “Let’s instill education to locals on the importance of building on skillful jobs, stating that skillful jobs one did he or she was best in,
By encouraging various skills we need to support locals by training them and seeing they got well expertise in their skills” said Salim. Kisumu County Rural Gender sociologist, Florence Atera also noted that the local needs to be highly natured in initiating ventures that are skillful. Atera further called upon the leaders in position to help creating educational forum that would help locals improve their expertise in various skills they had.
