On Wednesday, rumors circulated online that area Senator Chris Obure was behind the plot though he dismissed the claims.

And through County Youth League leader Erick Janganya, the youths vowed to ensure the meeting succeeds warning opponents against orchestrating chaos.

“We will give security if the police won’t be available for the same. As youths, we are keen to see the meeting succeeding and those planning monkey business around must be prepared for a tough engagement,” he said.

“ODM is a peaceful party but we cannot condone incidents where people plan to hijack peaceful meetings. We will be beef up security and the police have been notified of the same plans,” he added.

Odinga together with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho will preside over the Youth Summit dubbed Kikao 001 in which over 50 MPs have confirmed attendance.
