Addressing the media at a Kisii hotel on Monday during youths and comrades roundtable meeting, they urged the county Government of Kisii under the leadership of Governor James Ongwae to organise a dialogue in which they want to discuss some emerging issues about the county.

Otao said that they need to meet the governor for a dialogue since there are many things which have gone astray concerning the youths which need an immediate address.

“We are requesting for a dialogue with the Governor so that we can deliberate some emerging issues in this county, we would like him to know that we have no hidden agenda about the meeting but we have many issues in which we want to talk about the future of the county concerning the youths,” said Otao.

Among the issues they want to discuss with the Governors are the 30% of tendering that was guaranteed to the youths in which according to them it has never been implemented.

They also said that youth employment in the county has never considered them hence they want to know why they are not given first priority.

Another issue is about the tournaments in which the county allocates money in the name of the youths who have never participated in any tournament.

“The county has been doing many things which are not beneficial to us, we cannot keep quiet until the next general election we need them to come so that we can have a dialogue on how we are going to work in the remaining 12 months to election,” said Otao.
