Garissa woman representative JP aspirant Annab Subow on Thursday launched a scathing attack on incumbent Shukran Gure, accusing her of doing little to change the lives of the residents since she took over power.
Subow said that Gure has little to show the people of this part of nation despite having been in power for the last four years.
The vocal aspirant faulted the current woman rep for not fighting for the rights of women and youths of her county yet she wants to be re-elected.
“An honest assessment of her leadership reveals that she performed way below standard. She made no effort to empower our marginalized women and the youths. Even when she did so she focused on areas she comes from, displaying open bias,” she said.
Sudow promised residents that she will bring better leadership if she is accorded the chance to take over Gure in the August polls.
“I want to do things differently if elected. Our people have reached a point where they see no need of having this seat, thanks to the underperforming incumbent,” she added.
Gure, for his part, has maintained that she will beat her rivals hands down in August polls.
