Opposition leader Raila Odinga has accused president Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to end the doctors strike that kicked off December 5, 2016.

Addressing doctors outside the Court of Appeal, the ODM party leader blamed the president of prioritising the mass voter registration instead of handling the crisis in the health sector.

“This is the time the president should be speaking, not addressing people about voter registration, not talking about how Nasa is going to fail. This is time for the president to lead from the front,'' said Raila.

He further urged Kenyans to unite irrespective of their ethnicity and vote out the Jubilee government, saying it could not lead the country to vision 2030.

“This crisis shows that this government cannot lead this country to vision 2030. And that’s the reason why I would like to appeal to our people of Kenya, united as they are, irrespective of their various ethnic backgrounds, to unite together, come together and vote out this government on the 8th of August,” he stated.

The former prime minister was speaking shortly after the Court of Appeal pronounced the release of the seven doctors' officials who were jailed for contempt of Court.
