The Garissa Governor claims that Korane has nothing to offer locals, arguing that the he did nothing to better local’s lives when he served as Permanent Secretary.

“Korane should stop making noise and speculating malicious information about me and instead brace up for a humiliating defeat,” he said.

Jama said that Korane has no political experience to be the governor adding that the county needs serious leaders who will be able to articulate issues facing locals.

Jama accused Korane of spearheading propaganda campaigns aimed at diving locals.

He further asked locals to vote for leaders based on their ability to deliver on development.

Jama is facing stiff competition from Korane, who has vowed to send him packing. 

Korane accuses Jama of sidelining some clans in terms of development, and failing to fight for the local's interests.

Korane, who is eyeing the seat on Jubilee Party has the backing of Garissa Township MP Aden Duale, who has vowed to help him send Jama packing in  the August 8 general eelction.
