National Assembly leader of Majority Aden Duale has bashed Kanu chairman Gideon Moi saying that he has no moral authority to speak about corruption in Jubilee government.
Duale claims that Gideon Moi should not criticize the Jubilee government on matters graft, claiming that his father’s (retired president Daniel Moi) regime was the worst in terms of graft.
Speaking during an interview on KTN on Sunday, Duale claimed that Moi’s regime was the architecture of major graft scandals.
“I get annoyed when I hear Gideon Moi speak matters graft when his father’s government was the worst regime in graft,” he said during the interview.
Duale also hit out at Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi saying that he too should not speak about corruption, adding that Musalia has been allegedly named in some graft sandals when he was the Local government minister.
“These people (opposition politicians) who are making noise about corruption should give us a break because most of them have been previously named in serious graft scandals,” he said.
Duale accused the opposition is leverage on alleged graft in government to gain political sympathy of voters ahead of the 2017 elections.
“We know their plans and we as Jubilee government will not fall to it, these are the people who preach water and later on drink wine,” he said.
Duale said that the Jubilee government will continue to agitate for the country’s unity and development agenda.
He exuded confidence that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be re-elected for a second term in 2017 general elections, even though the government has been under the spot over alleged rampant graft.
