Orange Democratic Movement acting Secretary General Agnes Zani has defended the decision by former TNA Secretary General Onyango Oloo’s decision to ditch Jubilee Party for ODM.
Oloo, who defected on Wednesday morning, accused Jubilee leadership of sidelining key officials of the defunct TNA party without explanation in the formation of Jubilee Party.
Speaking at Citizen TV on Wednesday, Zani said Oloo’s team was welcome to the party, insisting that the Orange party would win August’s general elections.
“I don’t see the reason why people should accuse him of moving out because of circumstances. He felt that ODM accommodates people regardless of who they are and his decision should be respected,” she said.
“He is one of the many people we are expecting to join ODM before official campaigns begin. I am confident that they all know we are winning in August,” she added.
Oloo also faulted the move by Jubilee leadership to name former minister Raphael Tuju as Jubilee Party’s executive Secretary, terming him an ‘outsider’.
