ODM secretary general Agnes Zani now claims that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is confusing Kenyans making them believe that Jubilee Party is leading in the number of registered voters.
Zani called on the commission to clarify to Kenyans that the current data is not the total numbers of voters.
"We have an IEBC that is putting out figures for the new voter registration as if they are the actual figures to be used in conducting the August polls. They are confusing everybody and no one in the IEBC has come out to clarify that these are just percentages of the new voters," she told NTV's AMLive show on Monday.
The Nominated Senator also called on the IEBC to address the issues regarding the voters' register before releasing such figures to the public adding that the current data is very questionable.
"The IEBC should address the voters' register issues before giving the public figures of registered voters because we still have issues with the document," she said.
"We are looking at the figures like the ones from Kiambu and they don't seem to add up looking at the population demographics and even the growth rate. These figures that are coming out lack a lot of clarity," she added.
The month-long voter registration officially ended on Sunday.
