Cord Nominated Senator Dr Agnes Zani has accused their opponents for 'sponsoring' chaos during Raila Odinga's trip of the Western region last week saying that they did so to portray the Cord leader's trip as unsuccessful.
Speaking to People Daily, the acting ODM Secretary General described their journey as successful, saying that they received warm welcome and reiterated that ODM's support in the region is still solid and massive.
"I can confidently say the tour was very successful. We received a warm reception and as ODM, as you know, has solid and massive support," Zani said.
Commenting on the issue of violence that rocked the former Prime Minister's five-day tour, Zani said that the chaos witnessed had been 'sponsored' by their opponents and were meant to portray Raila's tour as unsuccessful.
"It was just some areas where our rivals organised fracas to portray Raila's tour as unsuccessful. Most of the clips you see on TV were events that were taking place before we arrived and after we left. We believe our rivals used the media to pass wrong information to the public," she added.
