Gor Mahia head coach Jose Ferreira has hit out at the match official for failing to curb time wasting from Thika United players during their Sunday match.

The two drew 1-1 at Nyayo National Stadium.

Shami Kibwana gave Thika United the lead midway through the first half with a superb solo goal before substitute Godfrey Walusimbi equalised for K’ogalo  few minutes to full time.

The second half witnessed several stoppages as a number of Thika players went down injured, in the end five stoppage minutes and Ze Maria feels it should have been more.

“The referee today was bad, I never want to talk about the performance of match officials but this one was no good. In the second half we only played for 35 minutes because Thika players went down every time I expected more additional time but the ref added five which was also wasted as Thika keeper was down injured,” he said.

He, however, did not exempt his players from the negative result.

“We also have ourselves to blame because we did not play very well, we created many chances especially in the first half but we couldn't score, the Brazilian tactician said.”
