Gor Mahia coach Jose Ze Maria Ferreira has confirmed skipping training as he addresses “issues” between him and the team's management.
Ferreira, and his players, did not attend training on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“There are some issues we need to straighten with the administration before things can get back to where they were,” said Ze Maria.
Gor had been struggling with finances until February last year, when they struck a five-year sponsorship deal with Sportpesa.
However, rumors from some club officials, on social media, point at great misappropriation of funds, leading to the current inability to honour critical payments.
The imediate former KPL champions are seeking to regain the league from last years defending champions Tusker FC who started this season on a poor note.
